About
How did I get here?
It all started with an orange polyester pantsuit.
I was 16 and it was the late 70’s. We had to make an outfit in our high school sewing class and I wore that orange bad-boy on my very first airplane trip. I jetted off to San Francisco with 50 other teenage girls for our Junior-Senior trip.
Needless to say, I rocked the pantsuit.
Eventually, I moved to the Bay Area where I still live today avoiding all things orange polyester.
Okay, so how did I really get here?
Knit, crochet, embroider, sew — I’ve done it all in between studying fine art and design at California College of the Arts in San Francisco, then working as graphic designer for 20+ years. I can't seem to stop making things and I love any project textile related.
My storage baskets and linens are the perfect mix of working with the textiles I love and creating beautiful design. My focus is on natural textures, organic shapes and a modern aesthetic. The fact that they are so practical is a bonus.
So don’t let anyone tell you an orange polyester pantsuit won't get you far in life.
Now that I think about it, “whats old is new.” Maybe I should have saved the darn thing.
